Chicks

A clutch consists of 2 or 3 oval eggs. They incubate for 24 days and both parents sit on the eggs. The chickens are born absolutely helpless, but at the age of about 2 months they fledge.

Females of this species make a nest with various materials, such as dirt, moss, small wooden particles and if a breeder provides a ready-made nest, the pair may not like it. The only way out is to supply such parrots with various materials. A few chicks may be more expensive than a bird; chicks are more desirable in the marketplace.
