This breed of poultry was once very popular among the farmers of the USA, but in the 1980’s this breed was replaced by other hybrids that re more efficient. Nowadays Rhode Island Reds are used mainly for shows and only a few breeders produce the old type roosters. Chicks are fun to watch in the photos, as this bird is very beautiful.
