Solomon Eclectus is native to Solomon Island Eclectus; therefore it is frequently referred to as Solomon Island Eclectus. It is not very big (approximately 12-13 inches,) and it can be sexed very easily: males are bright green, and females are red and blue. This bird is well-mannered and easy-going, but it may exhibit fear or aggression if mistreated. Processed food is not recommended, and the diet should contain vegetables, which are rich in carotenes.
