The beauty of the Salmon Crested Cockatoo has led to its threatened species status as it has been captured and exported from Ceram and Moluccan Islands, Indonesia, for the world's pet bird market. It's known for its white body feathers tinged with salmon pink and broad, white, rounded crest with deep salmon-red inner feathers. Found in wooded areas, these birds nest in hollow trees and diet on seeds, grain, and fruit. Iris color differentiates sexes.
