These small versions of the parrot are gaining popularity due to their size, colorful plumage, comical personality, and inability to scream. They do not destroy their toys as they lack jaw strength. Yet, they are intelligent, bold, curious, acrobatic, talking and capable of bonding with their owner. Naturally territorial and curious, they may lead to trouble. Supervision is recommended. Seven species of parrotlets exist: Pacifics, Blue Wings, Green Rumps, Mexicans, Sclater's, Spectacles and Yellow.
