The birds are one of the larger species of Conures weighing between 150-180 grams. They are predominately green colored, with pale olive under the wings. Juvenile birds have less of the blue coloration on the head and the mandible is completely horn colored. A mitred conure chick is fun to watch, so are other chicks.
