A very spectacular bird, humming bird is fun to see in a photo and so is a chick.
There exist 17 widely spread species of hummers; all of them differ in color and pattern, but similar in size and body structure. All of them feed on nectar, tree sap, and insects. Their temperature is very high, their heartbeat is fast, so they have to feed the most part of the day.

Hummers are very territorial; males and females establish separate territories. Males don’t take part in rearing the young and building the nest.
