Chicks and birds can make good decorative photos. When incubation begins, the male becomes aggressive to other Emus, including his mate. The male sits on the nest for 55 days without living the nest. Nesting takes place in winter and a couple of Emu remain together for about five months. As a rule, females start laying eggs at 2-3 years of age. One female is able to lay 60 eggs per year, but the average number of eggs in one clutch is 25-30. Chicks and birds can make good decorative photos.
