Wild Duck

These birds are medium-sized, with a relatively long neck and small head. These species are perfectly adapted for aquatic lifestyle; their feathers are water repellent because of oil produced by the oil gland. Their wings are short and very muscular. The tail is short and rounded. Legs of these birds are set far back on the body, which creates their typical gait. These birds have a broad bill, which allows them find food in water.
