These birds are very undemanding all they need is fresh water. They also find their nesting places near water too as this is where they find their food. The mallard species are found in North America and Northern Central America. The average number of eggs the birds lay is about nine to thirteen eggs laid at daily intervals. The eggs are incubated for 27 to 28 days; the males leave the females with the young for this period of time.
