Birds For Sale

Birds for sale look nice in photos; a breeder may pass some pictures out to customers. Domestic ducks are not as popular as the chicken, because they don’t have white lean meat and need special conditions. On the other hand, ducks are easier to keep, if they have access to water. They can be kept free range or in cages. To be healthy, they need fresh water and enough room. Females of most domestic ducks are unreliable at raising their young, but ducklings rely on the mother for a supply of preen oil, which makes them waterproof. If the ducklings are kept free range and have access to water, it’s not recommended to use a hen to substitute the mother duck. One of the most widely spread species of the domestic ducks is called “Pekin.” Females and males of this species are very difficult to distinguish because they look almost alike. The ducklings of this species have bright yellow feathers, while adults are white. The female duck has gray and brown plumage. As a rule, male ducks have a striking appearance; thus they are brightly colored. Bright coloration is very important for males and serves as indication of their physical condition; it is also very useful during mating period to attract a female. Birds for sale look nice in photos; a breeder may pass some pictures out to customers.
