White Crane


White crane photos may have been snapped by breeders. The wingspan of these birds is about six to seven feet. The largest subspecies of the breed is the Sandhill type. These are very large birds that have long skinny legs and the neck that gives a false impression of size; the males weigh an average of about 12 pounds and the females around 9-1/2 pounds.
