These birds should be fed on fruits and the most favorite menu of the Blue Crowns is grapes. They also should be groomed regularly and the nail trims should take place around every 6-8 weeks. Breeding Blue Crowns may be very difficult.

Blue-crowned are very friendly, calm, playful, inquisitive, and affectionate birds. They were first imported to the U.S. and other countries in large numbers during the 1970s and 80s. They are rather expensive costing about $200-250 wholesale and $350-450 retail thus being a good bargain. The dusky conure bird will be calm and playful even as young chicks.
