Generally, there are 17 species of cockatoos; they differ greatly in sizes, colors, and temperaments. The Goffin cockatoos are the smallest species; they grow to about 12-13 inches long. They have wide eye rings and short, ridiculous-looking crests. All these creatures make excellent companions.
