To buy chick, ask the breeder for a photo and make sure you are aware of the care requirements for the chick. Never purchase a bird on impulse. These pets require more care and attention than a cat or dog. They require a much more complex diet of fresh foods and they require more supervision. You will have to buy toys since the birds are very intelligent and require outside stimulation to prevent neurotic behaviors like feather plucking.
