The American Bald Eagle

These birds of prey are famous for their wonderful ability to soar without flapping their wings for a long time. They are able to fly at the altitude of 10,000 feet and reach the speed of 35 mph. The respiratory system of these birds is very efficient. They can conserve energy and are well adapted to cold. When hunting, these birds rely on their excellent eyesight and swoop down very rapidly.
